Description

The maquette is very close to the monumental sculpture in all characteristics, although it is hand painted by the artists in varying colours, making each virtually unique. This is a playful, bubbly image of an archway, made originally as a colourful entrance to the Goodwood collection. In contrast with the trees in full leaf, its synthetic colours create an emphatic presence against both nature and architecture.
