Gillian White | Dance Macabre

Description

If these small sculptural screens were made large, they could enfold a person, or placed in a landscape, they could act as a barrier, that allows glimpses of what lays beyond. While not a figurative sculpture, the rhythms of a macabre dance are expressed through the lively play of the zigzagging vertical elements of the screens. The many possibilities afforded by relating the two elements in different ways makes this a sculpture of great versatility.
