Peter Hide

Description

This piece follows a commission given to Peter Hide to create a sculpture for the theatre in Edmonton, Alberta. The abstract steel structure took the form of a proscenium, and this sculpture; 'Plainsong' is a development from it. The thrust of the stage is still discernible, but the feeling the sculpture gives is one of utter simplicity and unity, like voices singing in unison.
