Description
Made by hand in wood, the outer elliptical form contains a vertical member, which is split. The ellipse is wider at the front than at the back, as in an earlier work, 'Soglio (Goodwood)'. Hall is showing how forms can apparently open and close when seen from different viewpoints, just as elements of landscape open and close as one moves through it.
