Description

To dream of flying independently, free as the birds, is not unusual, if at present impossible without some form of conveyance. For the sculpture, however, anything is possible and these figures of Diamantopolou's cavort in a manner that apparently defies gravity. The formal device he uses to keep his figures aloft are disguised by the solid masses that they appear to float above.
