A monolithic form, the slim, standing figure has reflected in its surface etching, the shape of the secondary element that intersects it at the top, like a lance. The balance between solid, upright motif and incised line is one of Ann Christopher's hallmarks, as is the totem - viewed as being broader from the front than it is from the side.
