Description

"The inspiration for my work is derived from a desire to pare away irrelevant elements that have become attached to the human psyche that I believe is intrinsically simple yet profound. My aim is that the viewer will sense this in the same way one recognises one's face in a reflection, thereby being touched by understanding and remembering the miraculous fabric of existence is indeed profound yet intrinsically simple. As with first law of thermodynamics I believe that nothing can be created or destroyed. For myself, I simply translate, create a collage from the world around me, pick and mix to describe something that is not destroyed, just hidden from view, deeply ravelled in the archives of the modern mind.

The work is a manifestation of a search using a language not designed by mankind. In this way I believe I am allowed to sometimes, momentarily glimpse the handiwork of the Universe, and in doing so take a snapshot the best way I can."
