Description

This work evolved from a working cast iron mould and became the basis for the larger scale version titled Janus Head The column (a downwards projection of the mould profile) serves to both elevate the mould forms and also connects it to the tradition of marking a boundary in the ancient Roman tradition with a Herm, a stone column topped by a head, quite often a depiction of Janus.
