Sculpture Estate Visitor Rules

The Cass Sculpture Foundation is home to over £6m worth of sculpture and, as such, we ask that visitors act with the requisite due care when visiting the estate. Because everything in the grounds is for sale, the sculpture estate is more like an outdoor showroom than a public park.

Please note that visitors are responsible for incurring the cost of any damages to sculpture or property on the estate. Additionally, the Foundation does not accept liability for personal injury or the loss of private property during your visit.

To ensure that your visit is enjoyable for you and other visitors, we kindly ask that you abide by the following basic rules:
  • Please do not allow children to climb on, walk over or play with the sculpture. In some cases, even touching the material can have a lasting effect on its surface.
  • Please ensure that all litter is taken with you following your visit, the wildlife hates litter as much as you do!
  • Please do not enter the cordoned-off areas; this is for your own safety. There are often potentially dangerous machines and large excavations in these areas which may not be immediately obvious.
  • Please do not enter the grounds of the private house within the estate. This is the home of our founders and we ask that you respect their privacy.
Photography is allowed for personal use. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you wish your images to be used by the Foundation as a means of promoting the charity. However, the written consent of the Foundation is required for images intended for commercial purposes.

You can also submit your images taken in the sculpture estate to the Sculpture at Goodwood photography pool on Flickr.

Whilst guide dogs for the blind are welcome, we ask that all pets be left at home.

Should you witness any antisocial behaviour during your visit, please do inform a member of staff in the Visitors' Gallery.
