By Road

Travelling by car from London - approximately 1¾ hours.

Follow the A3 (Junction 10 on the M25) south towards Guildford. About 3 miles past Guildford, at the Milford turning, take the A283 to Petworth, then the A285 to Chichester for about 6 miles.

Just beyond Upwaltham, turn right at the brown Goodwood sign. At the next Junction turn left, following the brown sign to Sculpture at Goodwood. The sculpture estate is a further 1 mile along on the left.

Traveling by car from the east

Follow the A27 towards Chichester. At the Tangmere roundabout before Chichester, turn right following signs for Boxgrove & Halnaker.

Go through the village and straight over at the crossroads, (there is a flint wall on your right). Continue on this road for about half a mile, turn right at the T junction and the sculpture estate is a further 1/2 mile on the right.

Traveling by car from the west

Follow the A27 to Chichester. At Chichester, stay on the A27 By-Pass/Ring Road. After the only set of traffic lights, take the second exit at the next roundabout signposted Goodwood. At the next roundabout take the second exit.

200 yards after the Goodwood Motor Circuit & Aerodrome entrance, turn right at the roundabout, signposted Petworth & Halnaker (brown signs for Sculpture at Goodwood). Turn left at the next crossroads and the sculpture estate is 1 mile on the right.

Travelling by car from Portsmouth - approximately 30 minutes.

Follow the M27 / A27 to Chichester, at Chichester, Follow the A27 to Chichester. At Chichester, stay on the A27 By-Pass/Ring Road. After the only set of traffic lights, take the second exit at the next roundabout signposted Goodwood. At the next roundabout take the second exit.

200 yards after the Goodwood Motor Circuit & Aerodrome entrance, turn right at the roundabout, signposted Petworth & Halnaker (brown signs for Sculpture at Goodwood). Turn left at the next crossroads and the sculpture estate is 1 mile on the right.

Public Transport

Rail Services

There is a regular service from London Victoria to Chichester (1hour, 40 minutes), plus the coastal service from Brighton (45 minutes) and Portsmouth (30 minutes). Buses or taxis are available at Chichester Station.

Bus Services

The 99 bus from Chichester to Petworth can be prebooked to go via the sculpture estate every day except sunday. The bus departs from Chichester train station or bus station and is fully wheelchair accessible. To pre-book this service, please call 01903 264776 during office hours, a minimum of 2 hours before you wish to travel.

From international airports

From London / Gatwick Airport - LGW

Follow the M23 south towards Brighton. At Junction 11, turn right onto the A264 towards Horsham, then take the A24 towards Worthing, followed by the A27 towards Chichester. At the Tangmere roundabout before Chichester, turn right following signs for Boxgrove & Halnaker.

From London / Heathrow Airport - LHR

By air

To Goodwood Aerodrome

The Goodwood Estate has it's very own aerodrome suitable for both rotary and fixed wing aircraft up to 12 meters in length. It has it's own Air Traffic Service and refuelling of both Avgas and Avtur are available. The aerodrome is located within the world renowned classic Goodwood Motor Circuit. By special arrangement, small aircraft may make use of the Goodwood airfield. The Aerodrome is a short drive from the Sculpture estate. Transport can be easily arranged.
