Zadok Ben-David's newest work, Exotic Tree, is the latest edition to the ever-changing display of contemporary sculpture on the grounds of the Cass Sculpture Foundation.
In a continuation of his exploration of the human form and its relationship to nature, Ben-David has incorporated a variety of miniature figures into the structure of the burnished structure of Exotic Tree, playing with scale and creating an engaging Lilliputian world within the structure of the tree branches. At three metres high, this corten steel structure towers over the viewer, yet manages to remain delicate and considered, seemingly drawn rather than sculpted.
