The Cass Sculpture Foundation's passion for promoting sculpture is shared by the established Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, an established facility for sculptors in the Edinburgh area, offering residencies, studio spaces and access to techniques and specialists providing sculptors with unique and invaluable resources.
At present, the limited facilities available to the ESW are restricting the potential of this worthy organisation, prompting exciting plans for an innovative sculpture centre. Designed by award winning architects Sutherland Hussey, the new ESW premises will provide vital new learning, research and project spaces, specialist workshops, apartments for visiting artists and up to 30 artist studios.
Despite already raising 90% of the £4.5M cost, additional financial support is required for this ambitious project to be realised. The ESW are seeking support from individuals, trusts, and companies and would be delighted to discuss naming opportunities for spaces or activities in the new sculpture centre in return for more significant levels of support.
Contributions are crucial to the success of the ESW and will ensure that artists have access to world class facilities whilst allowing local communities to participate in enjoyable, high quality artistic activities in inspiring and creative surroundings.
