British Sculpture in the 21st Century

Sean Henry's Walking Woman at Goodwood

Sean Henry's Walking Woman is the latest addition to the Cass Sculpture Foundation's 26-acre grounds. Walking Woman replaces the Foundation's hugely popular Sean Henry piece, Catafalque (Lying Man), which left us last year.

Walking Woman, although incongruous within her new woodland setting, is in keeping with Sean Henry's sculptural oeuvre which is characterised by its verisimilitude and focus upon the human condition. The subjects of Henry's art are anti-heroic individuals, unnerving in their 'ordinariness,' who often exude a sense of longing and melancholy to which viewers frequently relate.

The Foundation has been exhibiting and promoting the work of Sean Henry for over ten years. As such, he has work in numerous national and international public and private collections and has completed a number of high profile public commissions, most notably 'Couple,' at Newbiggin-By-The-Sea, Northumberland (2007). please click here to enquire about pricing information.
