We are once again very proud to pass on the news that the Cass Sculpture Foundation's grounds at Goodwood have been shortlisted in the top 5 of Britain's finest gardens to visit this Autumn by the Independent Magazine.
As Published in the Independant Magazine (Saturday 27 Oct 2007), journalist Katerine Lambert writes:
"Almost all private gardens, and many National Trust and other public properties close their gates for the year by the end of October. Others are confident enough of the appeal of their late-season flowers, autumn foliage, invigorating walks and superlative views to woo punters further into the tail-end of the season. On the following pages, I pick out 20 of my all-time favorites".
"4. Cass Sculpture Foundation - Last chance this year to see the current crop of 70 monumental pieces on show (and all for sale) by sculptors ranging from Paolozzi to Pye, Caro to Cragg and in materials ranging from bronze to iron, resin to wood, glass to stainless steel. All are artfully placed in 26 acres of park and woodland."
We are open until November 4th 2007, after which we close to the public to install new works, move existing ones and to let the grounds recover for another season; starting on the 1st April 2008.
