Learn new skills with this introduction to lens-free photography and the process of creating cyanotypes while gaining inspiration from materials found in the grounds at CASS.

Join us to explore lens-free photography with this 19th century blue print technique. We will take you through the history and process of making cyanotypes with plenty of time to explore the grounds of Cass Sculpture Foundation to find different materials to work with.
We will take you through how to mix the chemicals, apply different coating techniques, judge exposure times and build successful compositions. This introductory session will enable you to continue exploring these techniques at home with information on all the chemicals you need and top tips for success.

Included in ticket price: All chemicals, protective gloves, handouts with instructions and examples, A4 cartridge paper, fabric, brushes and objects for you to make shapes with, entrance to Cass Sculpture Foundation on the day of the event, tea, coffee and biscuits.
To bring with you on the day: Any objects that you would like to try and make prints with.
