Sic Transit Gloria Mundi

Sic Transit Gloria Mundi, or 'thus passes the glory of the world' exemplifies Sean Henry's themes. The phrase as applied to these two figures speaks of hierarchy and evokes a sense of despondencey. Whether these figures are the same man in two different states, or two different men, one uncomfortably and/or reluctantly superior, the other melancholically acceptant of his inferiority, can be left to the viewer. Sean Henry sets the scene and provides the title for our contemplation.
