Will Nash

Will Nash was born in 1973 in Bangor, North Wales and studied Multi Media Fine Art at Middlesex University (1994-2007), and gained an MA in Design by Project from the University of Brighton (2004-06). Nash's early sculptures were based in imagery gleaned from his surroundings: birds, aeroplanes, agricultural structures and other buildings, which he simplified into the purest of form. Since 2004 he has undertaken projects in the public realm, working with groups of people to create sculptures or other works of art that may or may not have a function. These are also notable for his innovative use of materials, and his ingenious ways of collecting information that informs the nature of these works of art.

Nash has received a number of Arts Council awards for his work. He has exhibited regularly since 2001 in group and solo exhibitions and is currently a Senior Technical Demonstrator in 3D/Design at the University of Brighton. He lives in Lewes, East Sussex, where he also has a studio.
