Andy Goldsworthy

Andy Goldsworthy was born in Cheshire in 1956 and was brought up in Yorkshire. He studied at Bradford College (1974-75) and Preston Polytechnic (1975-78). After leaving college Goldsworthy lived in Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria. He moved over the border to Langholm, Dumfriesshire, in 1985 and to Penpont one year later. what we do

commissioning
since its establishment in 1992, the charity has annually commissioned 20 exemplary monumental sculptures from emerging and established contemporary sculptors.

lending
our resource of 80 monumental sculptures are now available on short and long term loan for a monthly fee.

selling
all of the sculptures on the foundation's grounds are available for sale, profits from these sales are split equally between the artist and the foundation, and directly enable future commissions.
