Wang Sishun creates work in mixed media, incorporating sculpture, performance and installation. His work investigates material, spatial and temporal means of transformation. He seeks to both undermine and expand these assumptions through his material practice. He uses ready-made, found objects and raw materials to exploit their physical properties and create new relationships that call into question assumptions about their material characteristics. Wang is also interested in exploring the associative nature of materials to inject symbolism into his work.
