Molly Smyth

Molly Smyth was born in London, where she lives and works. In 2008, she completed a BA in Sculpture at Camberwell College of Arts. Her works are highly personal mediations on shapes and images arising from experience of physical presence and absence. The qualities of mass, hollowness, density, exposure and restricted visibility are employed rigorously in Smyth's sculptures. These qualities are used to impart values that are often temporal and concerned with withheld revelation.
