'Unfold' is close in form to the monumental version. However, in the Archive Maquette the surface texture is indicated with coloured marks on the bronze. 'Unfold' seems to be about unfolding a material to reveal its form. The spine is sharp, the contours and edges soft, indicating that this could be a sculpture about unfolding a crisp piece of Irish linen.
